My family and I have camped at Big Meadow 2 times and each time had been great!!! Everyone is friendly and very helpful. Most of the sites have concrete slabs which makes it easier to level your RV. So next time you head to the Smokies, stay at Big Meadow. You will really enjoy.
The campground was wonderful. WiFi was the best I have ever seen in a campground. The owners were friendly. Facilities were very clean. Enjoyed our stay.
For a park that supposedly won awards, it makes me wonder who nominated them. The staff was very friendly. The grounds are well kept, but the sites are very cramped together. We had a gravel pull thru site that barely fit a 30ft travel trailer and a full size long bed truck. It was very hard to navigate to our site.(and I used to drive tractor trailers). The picnic table was set up on the small drive used for parking your unit. Not sure how others with larger units managed to get in. The water, electricity,& cable all worked great, however their wi-fi sucked. Strong reception, but extremely slow and kept dropping out.Even though its not their fault we had ZERO cell phone reception.(T-Mobile)So virtually no way to call home to check on family. In my opinion, not worth what they charge.Probably won't be back.
