This was our first time in this park which we selected for a 4 day getaway, trusting the park's website showing Big Cedar to be a secluded, quiet and restful retreat. It is, in fact, sited on a busy highway leading directly to the Talimena Scenic Highway, a 50+mile road through the Ouachita National Forest. Motorcyclists (many, many) find this challenging and seemingly rode it day and night! The park is small and the owner, Bart, very accessible. He and his wife have owned the park a bit over one year and the physical plant still has some needs. The individual sites are on grass and ill-defined and surprisingly small. Our 17ft. travel trailer fit very nicely in our assigned spot but we were crowded from one side by the bump-out of the RV next door and then later the people on the other side parking their second car between our site and theirs! Some direction and site delineation by the owners is in order. WiFi is good, Cable fuzzy with most around us using their personal Dish or DirecTV systems. Because the owner was nice and helpful I could be charitable and just say this is a good place. However I use this directory and to be worthwhile, it needs to be honest. In this case, we left after 3 days of the planned 4 day stay, forfeiting the last day's rental. If I were a Biker I would love it, otherwise, not so much.
