Good park

A little noisy from the freeway but bearable. Arrived late at night and there were clear instructions on what to do. Excellent personal bathrooms and showers

Everything is here
By user-5615313... on 2017-10-23.
Clean, neat, organized, friendly, pet friendly, bath house immaculate, laundry perfect, security, close to everything. I35 is a pain, but once you learn the layout it's a piece of cake. We recommend it highly.

Worst service.
By user-5808307... on 2017-10-23.
Is this vacation or have I jumped back in time to have my dad tell me how to park? Bad front desk service. Rude man to guide us in. I'm sure the park is nice but the people who work here ruined the whole experience. And we just got here. Carefree? How about renaming Fullofrude?

Good spot

Stayed 2014-10-10 to 2014-10-12
Second time I stayed in this park, folks at the front desk very friendly and helpful. Restrooms stayed clean with the park being full, since it was an ACL weekend. A little noisy near the front because of too much traffic on the freeway and they could put a trash can near the dog park for dog deposits.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Very convenient to downtown and easy access to the interstate.

Great Austin Location!

A well run RV Park in a great location. Convenient for a stay in the Austin area. Front office staff, and in fact everyone in the park is friendly. Will stay here again.

Called to make reservations for a week stay. Lady that answered the phone was very short with me, seemed irritated by my questions and when she decided to put me on hold I decided to hang up as I had no desire to stay there after that. No warm and fuzzy feeling there.

Good Place to Visit the City
By user-5827104... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2017-02-08 to 2017-02-11
We like Sun RV Resorts. This one had very nice shower and laundry facilities, although they are currently under construction. We found the traffic on I-35 to be congested most of the time, and the one way frontage roads were sometimes difficult to get around. However, the RV park was clean and neat and very convenient for our visit to Austin. The wifi worked very well, but they no longer have cable.

Good stopping point
By user-5239619... on 2017-10-23.
We made reservations two months prior to arriving and reconfirmed 30 days before , the day we were to arrive I called to find out what exit to take nd somehow our reservation had been canceled. The girls in the office got it figured out but still caused some anxiety. They also have many long term tenants. Spots are tight but level (gravel). The cable didn't work and the water got shut off for awhile (due to rv driving off with water attached so not really there problem). They have recently been bought out by another company so they are having some growing pains. With all that said they are in an excellent spot for visiting downtown Austin.

Awesome place!

Very pretty place - lots of trees, pull through lots, clean pool with toys for the kids, and friendly staff. We truly enjoyed our stay at this location.

Nice Park
By user-6279770... on 2017-10-23.
Well kept with a friendly staff. Located just a few miles from downtown Austin on the interstate, there is easy access to all of the areas attractions. The close proximity to the freeway does cause some noise, but overall a nice relaxing place to stay.

Too expensive; rude security guard
By user-5887323... on 2018-03-14.
Stayed 2017-11-24 to 2017-11-25
Stayed here one night the day after Thanksgiving and we were charged $110. Not worth it for an un-level gravel pad and all the sites practically on top of each other. But the worst part was an extremely rude security guard banging on the door while my husband was using the restroom, asking him to identify our site number. She was supposedly looking for homeless people but my husband told her off because she was so rude. She responded that there were cameras and police outside. Oooookkkkaayy. Not coming back here ever.

Nice park for visiting Austin
By user-5296837... on 2018-03-14.
Stayed 2017-12-18 to 2017-12-21
We spent three nights at Austin Lone Star RV Resort in our 40’ fifth wheel. We had a pull-through site that was plenty long and wide enough to enable us to park our rig, our tow vehicle and a car. The hookups worked well and were located conveniently. The roads within the park are somewhat narrow but we had no trouble getting around in our big rig. They no longer provide cable TV but there were plenty of stations available over the air. The wifi worked well. The laundry room was larger than usual and the machines were quite modern. We didn’t use any other amenities. There is an entry gate that is closed at all times for security. We were given an access badge upon arrival that activated the gate. With Passport America available for two of the nights, the rate was very attractive. The only issue we had was with the Austin traffic (congested everywhere). Access to the campground is via the northbound I-35 frontage road so, if you’re coming from the north, you’ll need to exit I-35 south of the campground and then head back north. There’s an exit ramp off of northbound I-35 just before reaching the campground. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Austin Lone Star when we return to Austin.

Clean and well maintained RV park close to town
By user-4889910... on 2018-05-17.
Super clean park and super friendly staff. No planned activities or that type of thing but the pool is nice. Only downside is traffic noise and road construction. Daily sites in the middle of the park are bigger and insulated from the noise. We stay here almost every time we visit Austin.
Verizon is strong and WiFi is surprisingly good.
By user-4605557... on 2018-05-17.
This is our second time in this park. They are now under new management. Well run, clean, close to everything. Major road construction in front of park can cause traffic delay.
By user-6457744... on 2018-05-17.
Cons....too close to the freeway meaning way too much traffic on the frontage road to get to the park. Caught a drug deal going down at the gate Saturday evening.
Pros..... clean, nice staff, very quiet at night in the park.
They were very accommodating for a last minute reservation.

Large gated park
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-04-05 to 2019-04-09
We visited here over a rainy weekend, glad we were parked on a hill area for drainage under trees. Nice shrubs between the sites for privacy, picnic table on grass, parked on gravel, paved interior roads. Nice dog area, playground for kids, laundry etc. The pool is at the entrance on hwy I-35 frontage road. The frontage road & fwy was under construction & lots of traffic & congestion, however didn't hear much fwy noise at night. Easier to find Congress Street into downtown than take I-35. Drawback was the frontage road is a 1 way road making it more difficult to access park. Our satellite dish didn't work because of all the trees, but we liked the shade & protection from hail they provided.

Best option for Austin
By user-4583872... on 2019-08-09.
Clean park operated by a very professional staff. They know what they are doing and like their jobs. One day we went to use the gym, and somebody came in right after us, turned up the air, brought in ice water and later came in just to check that everything was okay. Stayed her for 14 days without one issue.
We ll be back!
