| A hidden gem not to be missed!!

By user-5794457... on 2017-10-23.

One of the best campgrounds I have ever had the pleasure of staying at!! As Santa Rosa firestorm evacuees, they welcomed my family with open arms, compassion and generosity. Location under a bridge by the river with a short walk to an ocean beach feels like a slice of Heaven. Facilities are extensive and in perfect working order. Camp check-in host, Lisa, is outstanding!! This campground is one of those "hidden gems" which will likely get a lot more popular once campers see for themselves how wonderful it is. Highly recommend!!!⛺️

Great stay under California's oldest (and scariest!) wooden bridge. Having arrived after hours it was a bit unclear by their signage which sites were available and the first one we tried had no electricity. That being said, once we settled in, all was good. The campground runs alongside a river that empties into the ocean. Super beautiful and the beach is full of sea glass which was a nice surprise.

| A great place to stay on the Mendocino Coast.

I’ve stayed at this campground many times and it’s a great place to stay on the Mendocino Coast. The management is very nice and always accommodating and welcoming. The campground is clean, quiet and dog friendly. It is directly adjacent to the Albion river and has a beautiful private beach under the historic Albion bridge. The campground is very close to the big river and the town of Mendocino. WiFi and cable are good with dumps stations available at each site.

About

Located on the beautiful Mendocino coast beside the Albion River, the campground offers the perfect vacation location right under the Albion River Bridge! Steeped in history the Albion River bridge was completed in 1944, being the last bridge of its kind in California. Albion River Campground & Marina offers a unique camping and boating experience for both RV and tent campers. Located south of Mendocino, California on the Albion Cove where the Albion River meets the Pacific Ocean, the campground is one of only two sites on the Mendocino Coast that provides both sheltered river moorage and ocean access. The campground is an annual destination for abalone dive clubs, avid cod and salmon fishing groups, crab lovers, and kayak & canoe enthusiasts. Boaters can either brave the ocean swells or explore the scenic Albion River.
