Excellent Stop For A Day Or A Week
By user-5579193... on 2017-10-23.
Clean well kept county park with electric only for hook up. They do have strong wifi, dump station, water fill available and all other amenities. This is a gem for $15 a night.

Beautiful

This is a beautiful little county park. Has some pull throughs, electricity only. Lots of trails for hiking, a small lake for fishing. In 2017 price is $15/night. Highly recommended if you need a rest from the road!

Rolled in on Sat of Memorial Day weekend and was fortunate enough to find a spot. This place is a gem. The park is beautiful. There are three areas for RV. All are electric only (thus only 3 stars) but you can fill up your water on the way in. There is a dump station but was not working during our stay. (There is also a dump station two miles down the highway at the rest area. Fishing is allowed at the little lake but no swimming due to fertilizer run off. (Why would you eat the fish?!) no cable and the WiFi was utterly useless. There are showers at the top of the hill near the furthest or the three Campgrounds. Very well maintained and nice trails to explore. Quiet. Cheap. Stayed an extra day to rest up.

This little county park nestled amongst the corn fields of Iowa is a hidden treasure. Convenient to the highway and well signed, you simply pull in, take a left into the pull-thru campground (about 6 45 + level pads with shared electric), and then walk down to the office or self register about 100 yds down the road. Make sure you come all the way around the campground and face out to get your electrical connection close to the boxes. More services are available further into the park (recycling, water, etc.). If you re toading don t worry as you go further in that you ll have to drop the toad. There is a boat ramp that makes a great turnaround about 1/4 mile in.

Nice quiet campground. Great location right off of 80. No highway noise though. Very reasonable rate and a super friendly and helpful ranger.

Absolutely loved this place! Far enough from the freeway so that it is very quiet and close enough that it is easy to get to.. Surrounded by trees with a nearby lake. Even though there is no sewer, I rate this a 5 star for overnight or short stays. We will definitely come back.

Garbage overflowing, fire pits full of beer cans. Otherwise, nice, quiet park.

This is a pleasant, albeit slightly scruffy, local county park. Pit toilets only (at least in late April). Sites a bit ragged and rough, and many are quite short. Not all will accommodate staying hooked up if here just one night. Very pleasant walking trails. Nicely close to the 80, but not too close. No reservations, which is a real pain. Friday in late April they were nearly full. Summer must be tougher... Altogether, not bad.
